What to do if you are hit by a Drunk Driver

As with any car accident, the first thing you do is call the police to report the accident.

While you are waiting, take a photo of all the damages and the other driver’s license plate. If you have a smartphone, take a video of the scene, especially if the other driver is clearly intoxicated as this will be used as evidence if the driver denies being under the influence. 

Look around for witnesses and exchange phone numbers and information which supports your claim.
